- Device Information: Model, OS version, and unique identifiers for app performance
monitoring.
- Academic Files: Files you explicitly pick or create within the ICT Lab (e.g., code
files, PDFs) are accessed only for your interaction.
- Cloud Data: If you use Google Drive sync, your data is stored in your private drive
account under your control.
2. Permissions and Their Usage
To provide a full ICT lab experience, we require certain permissions:
- MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Required to allow you to browse, edit, and backup your
academic and code files across the device.
- INTERNET: Required for AdMob advertisement display and cloud synchronization
features.
- NOTIFICATIONS: Used to provide real-time updates on background backup processes.
3. Third-Party Services
We use reputable third-party services to enhance app functionality:
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Displays relevant advertisements. AdMob may collect data
for ad personalization.
- Google Drive API: Facilitates user-initiated backups to your private account.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymous crash reports to help us fix bugs.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Locally stored files are handled
by the Android operating system's security sandbox. We do not sell or share your personal data with
third-party brokers.
5. Children's Privacy
Our app is educational and suitable for students. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable
information from children under 13 without parental consent.
